How to Reframe your videos for free on Android

If you have a landscape video (16:9) of a person or subject in a fixed position (e.g. a person talking to the camera, an animal resting, etc.), and want to post the video to TikTok or Instagram, you have to reframe the video into the correct aspect ratio.

In case of TikTok, you need to reframe the video to 9:16 aspect ratio and in case of Instagram 4:5 aspect ratio for posts or 9:16 for Reels.

In either case, you want the subject to be centered in the resulting video.

Now, if you have an Android device, you are in luck - there is a quick and free way to reframe your videos.

Follow these simple steps:

1) Download the Crop Video app from the Play Store.

2) Open the app and select the video you want to reframe.

3) Choose the desired aspect ratio.

4) Tap on the video and gently swipe left or right to center the subject within the new displayed aspect ratio.

5) Save the result.
